The Basics of Baccarat

The value of the hand is based on the rightmost digit, so a nine and a six are valued as the same, while a nine and a five are valued as higher.
While betting on the Player’s or Banker’s hand will earn you a 1:1 payout, the Banker’s bet has a slightly better chance of winning. However, this is not to say that the Banker’s bet should be avoided altogether. It’s best to bet on the Player’s hand in most cases, as it has a lower house edge than the Banker’s hand and pays out at a 1:1 rate.
